Amazing beachside restaurant – we had perfectly grilled tuna, delicious lambi, pork and great daiquiris Friendly staff who speak a bit of English. Even though the view is more of a parking lot than the sea, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food absolutely worth it! Higly recommended!

We had lunch here and we ate the guadaloupean lobster. It was the best I’ve had in my life. It was beautiful prepared on the grill and the smoky flavour it added to it was divine. Our server, Cédric, was friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back here and I highly recommend it to everyone

This is like the platonic ideal of a Caribbean restaurant. The food, the hospitality, the ambience are all just top notch. Any restaurant would be lucky to have a team like this: even when the restaurant is jam packed, the front-of-house team goes the extra mile to build rapport with each table. They also speak English without hesitation. Marlin, ray, lobster... La Salamandre has one of the more extensive fish menus on Guadeloupe. Charcoal grilling is the standard cooking method here. The quality and presentation are finessed, which is reflected in above-average but not inflated prices. You need to allow plenty of time here - there's only so fast a charcoal smoker can cook, so when the restaurant is full it can take around an hour to receive the food. Reservations are always a good idea here as it is so popular.

Everything was great. Friendly and attentive wait staff. The owner makes a special effort to greet his customers. He also took the time to give everyone a taste of sugarcane and fresh coconut. First time I saw this in any restaurant. Right on the beach so very casual. We will go back.

We arrived late for lunch around 15 o'clock, being the only guests and asked whether they still have warm kitchen. After our order they restarted the grill and within 30 minutes they served us awesome food and generous portions. The whole staff was welcoming as well.
